Vis-ability... Are YOU on THEIR Radar Screen?


My friend and PR expert Raleigh Pinskey shows people
how to achieve, "Biz-ability through Viz-ability."

Whether you are employed or self-employed you've
got to have vis-ability. You want to be on "their
radar screen. Who are "they?"

They are those whom you are in business to serve.

Whether you call them customers, clients, members,
constituents, loyalists, supporters, advocates or
evangelists you want to be on the radar screen of
the people you serve.

If you are employed you want to be on the radar
screen of the boss, manager or employer to get a
raise or promotion.

It's just as important to be on the radar screen of

PEOPLE WHO CAN SERVE YOU!

Vis-ability is who you know and WHO KNOWS YOU.

In the New Game of Business™ we don't crash the party.
We get invited. Seth Godin calls it permission marketing.
I call it invitation marketing.

You open the door and invite people in. Some will browse,
some will buy, and some will become customers for life.

I've used the same hairdresser for 25 years.

As with much of life, The Power of Threes™ is at work here.

You GET on the radar screen with:
Impact, Frequency, Medium.

You STAY on their radar screen with:
Value, Trust, Solutions.

IMPACT gets attention. You need their attention before
you can keep their attention. Don't hold back. Hit 'em
with your best shot right up front.

FREQUENCY (of contact or communication) keeps their
attention. You need to hold their attention long enough
to see, hear and feel your message. Some people need
nine to 27 exposures to "get" it.

MEDIUM builds interest. To connect best with people,
communicate in THEIR preferred medium. We all have a
medium in which we prefer to "process" information.

What's yours? Do you prefer to read, listen, watch
or have a personal contact by phone or face to face?

You gain vis-ability if you...

Connect with people in a medium they like;
Share value frequently, and
Speak the truth.

Staying on their radar screen is as simple as A, B, C:

A: Appeal to them... Add value in advance.
B: Befriend them... Be a trusted advisor.
C: Commit to them... Counsel and offer solutions.

Are you on their radar screen?

Do you know who "they" are? Approach them.
Do they know who you are? Introduce yourself to them.

Do they know what you do? Tell them.
Do they know why you do it? Explain it to them.
Do they know who you're looking for? Describe them.

Do they know how you can serve them? Show them.
Do they know how they can serve YOU? Ask them.
Do they know how to join your party? Direct them.

Add value.
Be a trusted advisor.
Counsel and offer solutions.

Marketing, advertising and promotion are attraction
activities. Stay on their radar screen. Use

Impact to get their attention.
Frequency to keep it.
Medium to build interest.

How can/will you impact your audience?
When, and how often will you contact them?
How do they prefer to get their information?

The Internet gives you the ability to write to people
anywhere in the world and reach them in nanoseconds
(or a few days with a postcard or letter).

You can speak to them by phone for pennies per minute.

You can post written, audio and video messages on a
website and have anyone read it, hear it and see it 24/7.

You can duplicate compact disks for a few dollars each.
You have unprecedented power to communicate value.

Biz-ability and Vis-ability are tied to Communic-ability.

Communic-ability is a vital life and business skill.
Communicate with impact, frequency and in a medium
they prefer.

How do you know what they prefer? Easy. Ask them.
Most companies never ask this simple question,

"HOW DO YOU PREFER TO GET YOUR INFORMATION?"

The people and businesses we work with consistently
